The Yes to Life Mission
Yes to Life is inspired by a vision of a different way of responding to cancer.
Our aim is to change culture and attitude and to make integrative cancer care an approach which utilises and combines the best of both orthodox and Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), readily available throughout the UK.
Yes to Life believes that Integrative Medicine is the future of cancer care, an approach that is exemplified by some of the best clinics in Germany, the USA and elsewhere.
Since the charity was formed in 2006, following the death of founder Robin Daly's daughter, Bryony at the age of 23, Yes to Life has been looking at ways to promote Integrative Medicine in the UK. The fact is cancer prevalence is growing. 1 in 3 people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
This blog aims to share any information the Yes to Life team discovers along the way that we think would be beneficial for our supporters to read in relation to cancer prevention and cancer recovery. Thanks to some excellent input from supporters, our blog posts will include tips on diet and lifestyle, information on mindfulness and some amazing personal stories that people have shared with us.
We want people to take the scary statistics on board and take control of the situation, rather than view cancer as a roll of the dice in life.
By sharing information on our blog our aim is to empower people. We want to share the scientific evidence that shows how an integrative approach to cancer treatment delivers better results: alongside traditional medicine, nutrition, natural medicine and alternative therapies can play a significant, positive role in helping people to recover and avoid reoccurrence of cancer. By doing this we can help people make informed decisions when it come to their cancer treatment plan and support people in their reasonable hopeshttp://www.yestolife.org.uk/
